Bobbin lace pattern designed by Australian lacemaker Jenny Brandis.
Inspired by the festive season, here is a sampler of stitches that can be gifted as a bookmark if you wish. There is the option of adding candles and baubles made from beads to give that individual look.

Pairs and Threads:
38 pairs of bobbins with threads of 25-40wpc (Wrap Per Centimetre of between 25 and 40) Making it extremely possible that you will be able to use some of your existing thread stash.
Optional if adding beaded candles

11 red seed beads size 11
33 white round seed beads size 11
Beading needle
3lb fishing line or similar
Optional if adding beads as baubles
180 assorted coloured seed beads size 11

• B/mark start - straight edge from a point
• Torchon Ground (CTpCT)
• Star Stitch (CTC)
• Roseground - single and multiples
• Headside - cloth stitch (CTC) trail - 3 pin
• Block - cloth stitch (CTC) bud - 4 pin
• Honeycomb
• Adding beaded candles (optional)
• Block - cloth stitch (CTC) - 3 pin
• Adding beads to tree (optional)
• B/mark ending - straight edge to a point
• Tossing out pairs in the straight edge
• Tie off tail with figure 8 knot
