Introducing the beautiful stitch called caneground. This bookmark enables you to learn the stitch in a safe, familiar surrounding of basic torchon stitches. You can therefore concentrate on the ‘new to you' stitch.
Caneground is best showcased in a ground setting, hence the cluster of 9 in this pattern. Once you have mastered the stitch, you can incorporate it in many existing patterns that use the cluster of 9 spiders (aka compound spiders).. Bobbin lace pattern designed by Australian lacemaker Jenny Brandis.
Pairs and Threads:
26 pairs of bobbins with threads of 25-40wpc (Wrap Per Centimetre of between 25 and 40) Making it extremely possible that you will be able to use some of your existing thread stash.
